Terms of Service

Last updated: September 5, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PDF Course (“the Service”), a tool that turns PDF documents into interactive lessons and quizzes. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address (or sign in through a supported provider such as Google or GitHub) and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old — or the minimum digital-consent age in your country — to use the Service.

2. Your content

You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the courses generated from them. By uploading a PDF, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyze it solely to operate the Service — including extracting its text, generating lessons and quizzes, tracking your progress, and providing customer support.

You represent that you have the rights to any document you upload and that processing it through the Service does not violate any law or third-party right.

3. AI-generated content

Lessons, quizzes, glossaries, and summaries are produced by AI models and may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. They are study aids, not authoritative sources. Always verify important information against the original document. We do not guarantee that generated content is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.

4. Credits and subscriptions

AI generation consumes credits. Free accounts receive a monthly allowance; paid plans (billed through our payment provider) receive a larger allowance and renew automatically until cancelled. Credits reset monthly and unused credits do not roll over or carry cash value. Prices are shown before purchase and may change with advance notice. Refunds for billing errors or duplicated charges are handled through the subscription portal — contact us within 14 days of the charge.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not upload content you are not allowed to use or share.
  • Do not use the Service to create or distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.
  • Do not attempt to access other users’ data, scrape the Service, or circumvent usage limits or security controls.
  • Do not resell or redistribute the Service without written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or that put the Service or other users at risk.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may add, change, or remove features, and we may modify these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email; continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDF Course and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or study time arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You can delete your account and its data at any time from your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability) do.
